The Open House, meeting of our 2 new artists and Luminary Festival was amazing. Lots of great food, wine and Biggby coffee was served with a record count of people. Chartreuse was the happening place of the night. Thanks to all the Chartreuse Artists for their participation to make it all worth while.

Jan Kimball has decided it is time for her to move on but not out of the area. (thank goodness!) She continues to have a studio over at the Box Factory so if you liked her wonderful artwork please feel free to visit her there! We wish her well & she will be truly missed by all. Jan, remember it is a woman's prerogative to change your mind!!!

Mary Burke is a fabulous artist that has decided it is time for her to concentrate her time on other ventures. We artists at Chartreuse will genuinely miss her personally but will miss her abstract paintings & various other work. Good luck Mary & keep painting. Her pieces of work are still available until the end of of August.

Congratulations to several of our artists for their participation in the MAC show at the Box Factory! Nancy won for ceramics! Ali was the curator & did a marvelous job. Sounded like in a nice way was asked back for next year! It was a great show & the turnout was marvelous!

Come one come all to the re-painted, re-designed, re-worked & last but not least see the wonderful art work by all the artists.

We had a major player right here at our store but we were not open for business so this major player could not purchase anything from one of the artists. Oh well... We just might have made it big really big. Anyone guess which famous person (just about world wide) had their photo taken right in front of our window?

The dreaded painting is done! Yes. Thanks to all the wonderful people who helped. Now all that is left is the drying & putting everyone's art back. Some people will leave town & volunteer in an emergency state just to avoid the painting!

We are happy to announce that multi-media artist Jan Kimball has joined us. Jan is a studio artist, and also an adjunct faculty member at the Krasl Art Center, Water Street Glassworks, The Box Factory, and Lake Michigan College.Take a look at some of her fabulous works by clicking on Chartreuse . Her Pieces consist of ceramics, fused glass and mixed media collage.

We are going to celebrate with an Open House Friday September 26, 2008 6-9pm.

Stop by and join us for some wine and cheese, it promises to be another lovely evening spent with great friends.

Are you ready for a party? Well, we are!!!

We have nearly doubled our gallery space and are ready to celebrate with all our friends!

Several new artists have joined us on our adventure and brought their incredible art work with them. We have a new photographer Dave Wheeler, a glass blower Pam Harper, fiber and print artist Carol Myers, a wonderful potter Lynn Tan, wood carver Carl Tubbs and a paper/ mixed media artist Ali Hansen.
